Palm Springs: Elvis’ Honeymoon House

Palm Springs: Elvis’ Honeymoon House

When the idea of visiting Elvis Presley’s house comes up, Graceland comes to mind. Many fans don’t realize Elvis’ Palm Springs home is also open to visitors.

The Elvis Honeymoon House hosts two tours per day, guided by a devoted Elvis fan whose impressive collection is mixed in with the original furnishings. Here’s a teaser:

Elvis’ jukebox! It still works (a later owner added Elvis’ music).

The King’s bed. The headboard shape echoes the mountains behind the house.

Front entrance of the Elvis Honeymoon House. It reminds me of my grandma’s house – on a MUCH grander scale. (William Krisel was well out of my family’s price range…)

Look closely – the front steps are flanked by stone planters and a water feature!

I had to walk to the end of the street to fit the entire roofline in this shot.

The house may be sold at some point, if a buyer meets the price point the owner wants. Visit while you can – the tour is worth every penny.
